We often get questions regarding fishing on Goodview Lake.   Below are some Q&A.

 

Can a boat be used on the lake?

Yes, however, NO combustion motors are allowed at any point on the lake. This includes helping to get your boat on and off of the trailer.

Is the lake stocked?

No.  There is a sufficient amount of natural species in the lake.   Surveys in the past have turned up bluegill, large-mouth bass, and crappie as well as flathead catfish, warmouth, short-nose gar, and buffalo.

What is the water clarity?

Generally very good.  

Can I bow-fish for carp on the lake?

Yes, however, you must be off of the lake and out of the park by 10:00 p.m.  Also, if you are using lights you must stay away from residential areas.
