Pavilion Rules and Regulations
Reservations: There are three pavilions within the City of Goodview that may be reserved; Evans, Lions and Selke. Charges vary based on which pavilion is being reserved and are subject to change. All applicable sales tax is applied and is included in the fee.
All reservations must be done in person with full payment. The City accepts cash, checks, Visa or Mastercard.
The City will begin taking reservations on the first business day of each calendar year for only that calendar year.
Cancellations: 50% of the rental fee will be withheld if there is a cancelation at any time. NO REFUND will be given if the reservation is cancelled within 5 business days of the event.
A one-time rescheduling of a date will be allowed with a fee of $25.00. You will only be allowed to reschedule to the same pavilion. (i.e., Selke to Selke)
Deposit: A $100 damage/maintenance deposit will be required to be paid in the form of cash or check when you pick up the key(s) for the pavilion. The key(s) can be picked up prior to 4:00 p.m. on the day of the reservation. For weekend or holiday reservations, the key(s) can be picked up prior to 4:00 p.m. on the last business day prior to the reservation. Keys must be returned by 4:00 p.m. on the next business day following the event. At the time the key(s) are returned, if everything at the pavilion is in order, the deposit fee will be returned to you. If the key is not returned within the required time, your deposit will be held.
Garbage: Trash barrels (55 gallon) and liners are provided. All garbage MUST be tied up and placed in the dumpster at the end of your event. Replacement bags must be placed in the trash barrels after garbage is removed.
Decorations: Use of any type of non-biodegradable decorations is prohibited (i.e. cloth/plastic/paper petals, table top confetti, balloons). Only tape may be used to hang decorations. No nails or staples are allowed. All decorating supplies must be removed and disposed of properly after the completion of your event.
Equipment: No equipment is to be set up on ball fields, soccer fields, play areas or beach areas without first informing the City of Goodview. Equipment must be anchored using weights. NO staking is allowed. (WARNING: Underground electrical, gas, and water systems may be present in play areas and lawns.) Dunk tanks are not allowed on the grass. They must be placed on cement or black top areas. There is a nominal fee for water for the dunk tanks. All equipment must be removed from the premises immediately after the event.
Public Access: Reservations are for the pavilions only. The public must still have access to the restrooms, playground equipment, parking lot, soccer fields, ball fields, and beach areas.
Please have a copy of your signed rental agreement along with you at the time of your event to show proof of your reservation. The Goodview Police Department may check the facility at any time.
