Goodview Police Reserve Program
Who are the Goodview Reserves?
Some reserve officers are pursuing careers in professional law enforcement, but many are civic minded adults wanting to give back to the community. Law enforcement reservists come from all professions, blue collar and white collar, and represent all income levels, age groups, ethnicity's, and lifestyles. Reserve officers represent the very finest American citizens, giving their time to serve in uniform doing one of the most challenging and dangerous volunteer jobs in America.
The Goodview Police Department has a community-oriented policing philosophy and is looking for individuals who value integrity, are willing to work hard, and like working in a team environment.
The reserve program is designed to promote civic interest in law enforcement and to serve the community. This is accomplished by supplementing regular law enforcement operations with highly trained and professional reserve officers. Reserve officers receive much of the same tactical training that our regular officers receive and gain hands-on experience through patrol and ride-a-longs.
