City Incentives
The City of Goodview supports both current and future businesses through a variety of programs and incentives that promote growth within the community. Some of these programs are:
- Tax Abatement: Process by which a portion of property taxes are rebated back to the property owner, who then uses it to offset development or redevelopment costs.
- Tax Increment Financing: A method of financing real estate development costs to assist with the construction of buildings or other private improvements, as well as other types of development.
- Business Improvement and Assistance Program: The purpose of the Business Assistance and Improvement Program is a reimbursement program that provides incentives to revitalize Goodview business by improving the appearance of building facades and small project assistance, and at the same time, stimulate private investment.
- Revolving Loan Fund: The Goodview Economic Development Authority (EDA) and the City of Goodview have made available a Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) to eligible applicants for the purpose of providing low interest "gap financing". The primary objective of the fund is the creation and retention of jobs, tax base, and services in the City of Goodview.
