Fire & Rescue
The Goodview Volunteer Fire Department (GVFD) operates with a commitment to the safety and well-being of the Goodview community. The department’s mission is to deliver fire suppression, execute rescue operations, provide emergency medical services, and engage in public education initiatives designed to enhance community safety and preparedness. Goodview Fire & Rescue operates out of one station located across from City Hall.
Fire Suppression Division: Fire suppression involves the deployment of personnel and equipment to control and extinguish fires, protect property, and minimize risk to life. These operations require rapid response, thorough scene assessment, and coordinated action to safely manage fire hazards and ensure public safety.
Rescue/EMS Division: Rescue operations encompass the safe extrication and removal of individuals from dangerous or life-threatening situations, such as vehicle collisions, building collapse, entrapments, and water rescue. This function demands the use of both fire and EMS personnel. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provide immediate medical care to individuals experiencing injury or illness. EMS personnel assess, stabilize, and deliver lifesaving interventions. Their role is critical in improving patient outcomes and supporting community health.
